Introduction to the University
Established in 1902, Nanjing Normal University consists of Xianlin, Suiyuan, and Zijin Campuses, of which Suiyuan Campus is a historical and cultural relic under the state protection, and has been regarded as “The Most Beautiful Campus in the East”. The university has nine main subjects, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, natural science, engineering, and management science. It is one of the firstgroupof Chinese universities and colleges open to the world, one of the first group of Chinese Education Bases under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and a National Base of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
As one of the leading law schools in China, The Law School of Nanjing Normal University ranks number 13 in the National Composite Law Subject Ranking proclaimed by the Ministry of Education. It admits doctoral students in six subjects, including jurisprudence, procedural law, etc., and admits postgraduate students in eight subjects. Professor Gong Pixiang, Professor Li Hao and many other professors here enjoy high reputation in Chinese legal academia. Students graduating from our school make excellent performance in the job market, and enjoy great popularity in national administrative organs and the judicial system.
Introduction to the City
Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province, is one of the most famous four ancient capitals in China. It is over 170 miles away from Shanghai, and
takes only 75mins to reach Shanghai by high speed train. During the trip, the train will pass by some famous historical and cultural cities with the special impressions in the south of the Yangtze River, such as Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang, etc.
With a history of nearly 3000 years, Nanjing had been the capital of 6 dynasties. Especially, the Ming Dynasty and the Republic of China have left many exquisite buildings and cultural sediments here. Mingxiaoling Mausoleum has been listed into the world cultural heritage. Zhongshanling Mausoleum is the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Republic of China, and the pioneer of Chinese democratic revolution. The Presidential Palace is the largest Modern History Museum in China. In addition, there are many types of handicraft articles in this city, of which brocade and Jiangning gold foil products, etc. are very famous.
Visiting Nanjing and its surrounding cities like Suzhou and Wuxi, etc.;
Visiting the courts, law firms, and community mediation organ, etc.;
Observing and learning legal activities like adjudication and arbitration, etc.;
Attending lectures on Chinese laws;
Participating exchange activities of students from multiple countries
* Qualifications for Application
Sophomores, Juniors, seniors, postgraduate students and Ph.D students who have obtain at least one year legal education can apply for the program.
* Language Requirement
fluent in either Chinese or English.
1. The sponsor covers the participants’ expenses in China (including lodging and boarding expenses, fee of traffic in China, and fee for documents and materials, etc.)；
2. Participants pay their own travel cost from the place of departure to Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
* Accommodation Conditions
1. Two participants share one standard double room in campus hotel for free, in which there are mini-refrigerator, hot-water kettle, and bathroom.
2. if the participate need a single room，he should pay US $40/day by himself.
Participants will get a certificate proving their participation in the exchange program after completion of this program. It will be issued by the Dean of Law School, Nanjing Normal University in person.
Foreign students must submit the copy of their passports, and applications when applying for this program before May 15th. It takes about 2-3 weeks to review the application and process a JW202 form. after we receive your completed application. We will send your JW202 and acceptance package to you via a courier service such as DHL or Fed Ex if applicants satisfy the demands of this program. Applicants can go to Chinese embassy or Consulate to apply for F visa with JW202 and admission Notes issued by Nanjing Normal University.

Applicants must download the application form from the website of Law School of Nanjing Normal University (http://law.njnu.edu.cn), fill in the form as required, and then email it and attach one copy of your passport to firstname.lastname@example.org before May 15th, 2016. Applicants admitted to the program must submit their copy of visa, etc. to the sponsor for affirmation before July 1st, 2016.
